Where the Coconuts Grow

In search of surf, sun, sand, and serenity
aboard the Mary Christine

The Coconuts

PeterJody and their dog live aboard their boat, the Mary Christine in the Caribbean.

Although Peter and Jody are Americans they had no choice in their birthplace so I will forgive them for that.

They have been blogging about their adventures since October 2013 when they searched for and bought their boat.

After a whirlwind time selling everything they moved onto the Mary Christine and began life as liveaboards.

Their website tells of their lives and adventures in the Caribbean.

The Website

It doesn’t take long to realise that the Coconuts website is well thought out, quality website. It is clean, uncluttered and easy to navigate but dig further and you will find a lot of useful information.

The one thing that really stands out for me are the amazing photographs which are of professional quality. There are many images on the site and each blog and you can find yourself lost in them.

Jody writes most of the blogs and although a picture can tell a thousand words I sometimes find myself wishing she would write more. She certainly can write a good blog but often writes few word and leaves the photos to tell the story.

There is not really anything about the website I don’t like apart from those annoying social icons that float around the page. I just wish they would float out of the site completely.

I really do like this website for all the reasons I have outlined so if you are looking for a good sailing website to read you won’t go far wrong by visiting “Where the coconuts grow“.
